Snore Coach privacy policy

Snore Coach is an Android app published by Optivation. This policy explains what the app does with your information. The short version: everything stays on your phone. The app has no internet access, no account, no analytics and no ads.

What the app records

• Sound from the microphone, only while a night recording is running. A notification shows for the whole time it runs. The sound is analysed on the phone to detect snoring. Most of it is discarded straight away.
• Short snoring clips, a few seconds each, so you can hear what was detected.
• Per-minute summaries of the night: how much snoring, how loud.
• Movement from the phone's motion sensor, to tell when you turned over.
• What you enter: tags such as "Slept on side" or "Alcohol", and how rested you felt.
• Settings, and which nudge sound and volume worked for you.

Where it is kept

All of this is stored in the app's private storage on your phone. Other apps cannot read it. It is not backed up to the cloud by the app, and it is never sent to us or to anyone else. The app does not request the internet permission, so it cannot send data off the phone.

Sharing

We do not collect, sell or share any data. We never receive it.

Deleting your data

You can delete any night inside the app. Uninstalling the app deletes all of its data.

Purchases

Google Play handles the purchase of the app. Google's own privacy policy covers that payment. We receive only the reports Google gives every developer, which do not include your recordings.

Children

The app is not directed at children under 13.

Snore Coach does not diagnose or treat any condition. If you are worried about your sleep or breathing, see a doctor.
